Arrived in California!

We had a 3 hour wait at the border crossing on the 27th and so we did not get far, just to Mt Vernon. It was raining and not great for walking the dogs and drying them in the stairwell! But at least we are on our way.

The next day we headed out and a screw fell out of the windshield wiper of the driver side, Larry had to take one out of my windshield wiper for his so he could see. Off to Home Depot for a replacement and a bit of a delay but we got to Salem that day. Still raining!

Left Salem this morning and got a lot of driving in, made it to Redding, California.... STILL RAINING! But the mountains were not treacherous with the rain and no ice, so that is a bonus!

We leave here tomorrow for Sacramento with a stop at Camping World for a barbeque, Weber Baby Q. The rain is supposed to stop tomorrow and then as we get further south, it should be done with!

We are escaping the rain!

We are leaving on December 27th for Borrego Springs RV and Golf Resort. It rains 1" annually in Borrego Springs and is cooler at night being in the Southern California desert. It is in the middle of the Anza Borrego National Park, the biggest national park in California as it turns out.
We will take our time getting there as we have booked for January 3rd to February 17th at that site, then we move on. Follow with us if you wish and we will keep adding photos of the trip and scenery of where we are.
Cheers,
Judy, Larry, Molly and Karl
